The Schoolhouse Hotel

I was passing by on the interstate and this was the perfect place to spend the evening with my dog. I can't recommend this place enough, truly. For this price point, it greatly exceded my expectations. The beds are very comfortale and rooms extremely modern and cool. There was even a self-flushing toilet. There appeared to be a very popular restaurant in the lobby with a bar area. I'd definitely stay here again.

Stayed at The Schoolhouse Hotel for our wedding and the service was great. We had 7 rooms booked and staff were very accommodating. They assisted with putting our welcome bags to our guests rooms that we had made, and were friendly with any requests we had. Our guests were also very complimentary of the hotel. The accommodations are modern, hotel is clean as well. Enjoyed the onsite restaurant Varsity Club for a dinner for 14, service was great! Also, had a great experience at the Sunday brunch as well, food was delicious!

The Schoolhouse is a great place to stay. They've maintained the exterior while completely modernizing the interior and amenities. Very smart rooms. We loved the restaurant and can't wait to go back in the warmer months to relax and fully enjoy the rooftop!

Went to the rooftop bar, beautiful view. Great idea but super slow & better organization is needed. Only 2 of the 3 if us got our food. We had to ask 3 times about the lost order. Very friendly helper there. I don't know if he was sn employee or what but he was so friendly and helpful. We do want to try visiting again if we come back to WV. The building is very interesting and we would like to possibly stay there.

Beds were incredible as i slept very well. Walls are a little thin but luckily guests weren't too loud. THermostat could only go to 68, which was still a little warmer than I wanted. Toilet was a smart toilet but the screen was broken so the only way to get it to flush was to bend over the toilet and contort your head to flush it. I brought it to the front desk and they just ignored it and said their maintenance man was too far. Overall, served its purpose. Bathroom showers were a little nasty.

This is a gorgeous hotel in the heart of Dublin’s Georgian district. Walkable to the sites of Dublin: Connolly Street, Grafton St., Trinity College, Temple bar. The rooms are generously appointed and clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The Gastropub on site provides excellent meal options and a warm atmosphere. Top notch. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here to save money attending a wedding at the Greenbrier. It's a lovely hotel. It's nearby a boardgame cafe and a coffee shop, a real short walk which is awesome. The rooftop bar is really cute and a nice way to end the night. The brunch was great also. The rooms are affordable and I love that it's a repurposed building. With that being said the room had some issues. First is that the tvs didn't seem to have access to smart apps, and the bedroom TV didn't have a working remote. I had to flip through the channels old school style and most of the stations were SD. The smart lights and windows were awesome but the dimming functions didn't work on any of them, and they were finicky to use. The mini fridge had a busted door handle, and the doors that open between the rooms didn't open in a way that was convenient to also open the closet door. Lastly the shower needs to be redone since it leaks out like crazy. There's no lip to contain the water and the floor isn't graded in a way to allow the water to flow into the drain properly. The bidet and styling of the rooms was great though. 4 stars for price, aesthetics, food quality, and convenience. The issues would have been more of an issue if we were in the room more but we weren't. The customer service was amazing though, staff is attentive and super friendly.

Stayed here before splurging on the Greenbrier in WSS. Overall a great stay with the only kinks being the supposed high-tech not fully functioning for us. The commode was definitely smart but was missing the bidet component which was disappointing. The TV turned on to the hotel main menu, but the remote wouldn’t select any of the features including streaming, so we were stuck with just flipping through cable. The shower design also seems a bit poor as there was no door or curtain and left the falling water to splash onto the floor just outside it, soaking the towel mat we placed down. Bed was really comfortable, the high windows and ceilings were cool, and service was great. Nice little complementary coffee and pastry option in the lobby as well. Overall a nice stay.
